Wisconsin for Thanksgiving

This was a really tough trip...Zoey had a stomach bug the week before we traveled, Milo got it the day before and most of the following week...just when I thought we were in the clear it was Thanksgiving.  Both kids woke up barfing turkey in the middle of the night!  But it was still a lot of fun between loads of laundry!
Aunt Kristin...not happy about Kevin's stuff!  LOL

Uncle Kevin...getting the hell outta the house...or going to fetch some Tres Leches
We actually completed this puzzle (a gift to Kristin from Cheryl - 2000 nearly identical pieces).  And Mom, paybacks are on their way!

Both kids got to have baths, as opposed to showers...they loved that!

And we went bowling, which both kids absolutely loved...but the legendary tantrum Zoey had when leaving made me trepidatious to go again.

And I even got to go out with a couple friends I haven't seen since 1988!  Tricia Bohman and Dana Nesbitt.

Halloween

This year went better than any year prior.  Both kids REALLY got into the trick-or-treating action.  We didn't do quite as much as GrandPa Don did with us...I think Kevin and I had a quota of over 20lbs of candy a piece!  But Zoey and Milo did stay out very late and we visited about 30 houses.

Grandma & Ken's Wedding

Fun filled vacation at a great beach!  The kids had a super time...as did I.  Loved the water (except the jellyfish), canoeing and stand-up paddle boarding.
 Zoey the flower girl.

Some of the wedding party.

 Once in a lifetime shot.

Shameless plug for me...and just as a wayt o remember Kevin's admission to "checking out the gal's a** walking along the beach in the white bikini...OH GEEZ!  That's Lisa!"  ...Or something to that effect.  What perplexed us all was why would he even admit such a thing?!  LOL

Milo with the remnants of a "Captain Morgan" mustache that someone (I dunno who) drew in with a marker...very funny!

Aunt Kristin, kid entertainer extraordinaire!

BAD SLACKER MOMMA!

OK, so maybe I'm not a total slacker because I've been running, swimming, biking, racing like crazy but I took absolutely NO pictures of the kids last month.  So, I confess, it has been 2 months since my last blog entry on www.casadelopez.blogspot.com  Even so, this month the pictures aren't as numerous as they have been in times past.

We went to the circus...a long show.  Milo lasted for about half of it before he got squirmy:

A tantrum...75% of our waking hours and then turbo shift to another random mood.

We had just gotten home from a rowdy kid birthday party...they headed outside and I was trying to finish the laundry.  I looked outside to see what they were doing (because they were quiet) and saw them sitting together like this.  Probably just trying to unwind together after being around so many kids so I ran for the camera.

OK, I sent them out with Lollipops so I could finish the laundry but still, I didn't expect them to chill together.  Pretty cute!

What a very busy month! Many posts and photos...

Yep, it's been a busy month.  There are 8 posts in this month's blog.

Calista...trying to get a few rays and a moment's peace.

Kevin

Probably worth a chuckle...if some weirdo doesn't turn me in for kiddie porn.  LOL

Kristin enjoying "Super Why" for the 100th time

Who?  Me?  Sleeping?  No, I'm wide awake!

Easter Bunny has arrived!

I have some inside information that Kristin moonlights as the Easter Bunny's personal assistant.  Thanks Kristin and Kevin for putting everything together for the Easter Bunny this year...and it was nice that we got to do all the fun stuff early too.

Someone rang the doorbell and hopped away.  Inside the basket was (of course) some candy but more importantly, the first picture clue in the "Six Egg Scavenger Hunt".  The game led them to their Easter Baskets and some presents.  Zoey was so enthralled with the idea of finding eggs and clues that when she got to the baskets she didn't even notice them.  She was too focused on finding another egg.  Milo followed along and really just wanted to carry the basket.

B52 Concert

When I asked Calista what she wanted to do while she was out here, the only thing she wanted was to see a show.  B52's at the Canyon Club (a local place) was the best we could do.  I can't remember the last time there were so many family members in one place!

Another Race...Dole Great Race 10K

A few last minute words of advice from coaches Kevin and Kristin.

Why am I so nervous?  It's not like I'm hopping in the ocean, I'm just running!

Hmmm, I think Kevin took this picture of his co-conspirator/partner in crime.  There's a rumour that a bag of marbles went down on the pavement just after I passed to cancel out the threat of any fast runners behind me.  Good work gang!

Uncle Kevin teaching Zoey the virtue of patience while waiting in line for the bouncy house stuff.

Rock Climbing with Calista

They never questioned that Calista was my daughter when I signed the waiver for her.  They told Zoey to go stand by her big sister...that's when it hit me:  I really am old enough to have a 17 year old!  Zoey was so excited she was hopping up and down.

Ready, set, climb...and she was fast!  She got a few feet higher than where she is in the picture below before she realized that there was no slide down once she got to the top.  The instructor had to climb up and help her down...and that was the end of climbing for a while.
