What an awesome zoo!  I think I actually preferred this place to all the big ones in So. Cal.  We got really close the animals and they seemed happy, fit and healthy plus there was no crowd and no tell-tale zoo smells.  Zoey had a lot of energy to burn so she and I ran most of it...but let me tell ya...a pint sized punk like Zoey running around just a few feet from a female lioness really got the cat's instincts going...thank goodness for high fences!
